Welcome back! We are OPEN!
We are pleased to announce that as of 17 May 2021 we are now open again, subject to safe distance and hygiene measures.
Health and Safety in the Studio
I would like to reassure you that we are doing everything possible to allow you to return to your Pilates practice in a way that is safe for you and our instructors.
If you normally attend our Reformer Classes, we are offering you the option of coming to do a studio workout instead. If this applies to you, please email us at .
Members will be able to resume their programme while following these simple guidelines:
We will keep the studio door open, so you will not need to touch the door handles. This will also aid ventilation.
We are staggering arrival and end times, so that instead of everyone starting their session at the same time on the hour, one person will arrive at every 15-minute interval.
Please arrive on time to make sure we keep a safe distance between all Pilates Place staff and members at all times.
For Reformer and Barre Classes:
When you arrive at the studio, please wait by the two-metre spaced markings we have put on the floor inside and outside the front door.
We will invite one person in at a time to occupy the Reformer or Barre space furthest away first.
Please use the chair inside the studio to remove your shoes and place them in a locker with any other personal belongings.
Please not use the hooks for hanging anything up.
At the end of the class - last in first out!
Everyone must use the anti-viral hand sanitiser before touching anything in the studio.
Single-use disposable gloves will be provided.
Please pick up a head support with plastic covering for using on your equipment.
Please wear non-slip socks at all times whilst using the equipment.
Wearing a face mask/covering is optional as you will be able to maintain two metres distance from others in the studio.
At the end of the class, please use the anti-viral wipes located in your sanitisation station to wipe the Reformer loops, footbar, and carriage.
We will also be deep-cleaning the studio equipment with anti-viral cleaner on a regular basis.
All this means that your experience in the studio will change only slightly. You will still have an instructor with you at all times, but they will not be able to give 'hands on' corrections. Instructors will stay at least 1 metre away from all members in the studio.
