It is a fact that the population is ageing; soon we will have more people aged over 70 than under 25 years of age. How will we keep the older generation of the population fit and healthy right into their old age? Many people do not want to be sweating it out in some soulless gym, where computer driven machines have taken over the job of the gym instructor.

Pilates Equipment is the ideal way of working with older people or anyone who is interested in an alternative to the gym experience. As people age they suffer from more joint problems through wear and tear. Pilates equipment means that people with injuries or other issues can still get a ‘good workout’ with out all the associated pain and indifference of computer driven machines in a gym!

Regular sessions on Pilates equipment can help keep the body strong, and flexible and combined with cardio vascular exercise, like walking or swimming it can provide a complete body training. It is suitable for all ages and abilities and is particularly good for people who want to keep fit well into their old age but don’t want to go the gym.
Training on Pilates equipment with a qualified Pilates instructor is the definitely the way forward, more and more people are looking for alternatives to the gym. We are offering that alternative - if you train as a Pilates teacher you can offer the sort of caring, assisted exercise instruction that people are looking for which is tailored to meet their needs. You could make the difference by providing the personal attention people want to help them achieve their fitness goals.
