Our Studio
What should I wear to do Pilates?
Please wear something comfortable and stretchy - a t-shirt and leggings or cycle shorts is ideal. If you attend Reformer Classes or studio Pilates, we insist that long hair must be tied up, and dangling jewellery must be removed. We do not allow members to exercise in trainers or any other shoes, so you may wear bare feet or grip socks, available to purchase in the studio. If you have wrist or hand problems, you might like to try cushioned gloves.
Can I bring my child to my class?
Babies, toddlers, and children may be brought into the studio, but only by prior arrangement.
Do you have a changing room?
There is no changing area, but clients may use the toilet adjacent to the studio. We also have a privacy screen in the studio, behind which you are welcome to change.
Is your studio accessible for disabled people and/or people who use mobility aids?
We are on the ground floor with step-free access. Our accessible toilet is also on the ground floor.
Is there a toilet?
Yes, you have access to a toilet just outside the studio. There is a further toilet available on the first floor.

Our Memberships
How does MyTime Membership work?
Members who have MyTime Membership Packages pay a monthly membership fee for a set number of Pilates sessions in a 12-month period. (You may pay for your MyTime Membership Package in a single payment to receive a 5% discount.) You can book yourself in for your Pilates studio session during our open hours on weekdays. You will share the studio with up to 3 other MyTime Members, all under the expert guidance of one of our Pilates teachers.
What are 1-to-1 Membership Packages?
You can choose to take one of our premium membership packages to do Pilates on a 1-to-1 basis. This is different to MyTime Membership Packages because you will have the dedicated attention of your teacher for the entirety of your session. This is particularly beneficial if you have specific health or mobility issues or if you wish to make fast progress.
What is a "1-to-1 Pilates" lesson?
It is like a private lesson in that you will benefit from the dedicated attention of your teacher, but you may share the studio with someone having a 1-to-1 session with another teacher. If absolute privacy is important to you for any reason, please contact us before booking.
Is there a minimum age to join Pilates Place?
Yes. The minimum age to join as Easy Access or Private Member is 16, but teenagers of 13 years and over may participate in Mat Classes or Mat & Barre Classes, with permission from their parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit!
Do you do joint memberships?
Yes. For any 2 people who live at the same address, there is a discount of 10% on all memberships. Please email us to arrange this.
When is your next Flash Sale?
We announce our periodic Flash Sales on our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram profiles, and by email.
Do I have to create an account with Acuity?
No, but if you are a regular Pilates Place customer we highly recommend it. We need to know your personal information, like emergency contact and health issues, and if you have an account we will be able to keep your info on file.

All our clients are considered members, but you can opt out of specific perks if you email us.
What are the perks of membership?

What is a subscription on Acuity?
A subscription is an automatic payment method, similar to a Direct Debit, which we can set up to deduct your monthly MyTime Membership fee from your debit or credit card. You will only be able to book appointments before the date of your next subscription payment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit and debit card payments online, and credit card, debit card, and cash payments in the studio. We do not accept cheques, bank transfers, or Standing Orders.

I missed my session or class. How do I get a refund?
Pilates Place does not offer refunds. Missed classes can be 'made up' by joining one of our other classes, so long as there is space for you. If you missed your MyTime session or your 1-to-1 Pilates Lesson, then you will be charged as if you had attended. If you know you will be able to attend your booked session please cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
I changed my mind. Can I have a refund?
Pilates Place does not offer refunds. If you think you have made a purchase by mistake please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your options.
